Covid Relief support
The lockdown period has been a challenging experience for everyone, especially low-income communities, as the pandemic has had a severe impact on workers and their families.
We too strived to extend our support and provide a lending hand by:
Providing basic necessities in the form of health and hygiene kits, to the remotest parts of the country like Pune, Bhuga, Mulshi, tribal areas in Nasik etc.
A ration kit comprised of 15+ quality items including soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, toor dal, wheat, rice, salt, oil, shampoo etc.
We supplied these ration kits to the slum areas of Vasant Nagar, Kelawadi and Jay Bhavani, and also prepared and served 100-200 lunch and dinner meals to approximately 400+ people and reaching to 250+ families daily for about 6 months. We also delivered clothing and sanitary pads.
We believe in diversity in distribution and as a result we have served about 500 packets of essentials over a period of 6 months to single living women, people with disabilities, transgenders, roadside beggars, needy people outside the temple and Sasoon hospital, police officers at Laxmi Nagar and many others.
Ensured accessible transportation and bed arrangements that proved efficient in emergency situations
Awareness-building programmes covered topics like social-distancing, best practices related to public health and hygiene and behaviour change, sanitisation, use of face masks, following government guidelines during the lockdown period and ways to protect people from community spreading of the epidemic.
